عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ:

«مَا عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِنْ وَجَدَ سَعَةً أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ ثَوْبَيْنِ لِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ غَيْرَ ثَوْبَيْ مَهْنَتِهِ»

حضرت عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو جمعہ کے دن منبر پر فرماتے ہوئے سنا:

"تم میں سے جو شخص استطاعت رکھتا ہو، تو اسے چاہیے کہ جمعہ کے لیے دو کپڑے مخصوص کرے جو اس کے کام کے کپڑوں کے علاوہ ہوں۔"

Abdullah ibn Salam (RA) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on the pulpit on the day of Jumu’ah:

“It is not harmful for any one of you, if he can afford it, to have two garments reserved for Friday other than the clothes he wears for his daily work.”
